
Notewrks is a modern, genderless cologne brand from Snif, a New York based fragrance company committed to making luxury fragrance accessible to everyone. Snif’s products are crafted with high-quality, ethically-sourced ingredients and are clean, vegan, and cruelty-free. To create just the right blend of design and tech for Notewrks, Snif turned to ehouse, its long-term collaborator, to solve the unique development challenges involved in bringing Notewrks’ avant-garde brand to life online.

To launch its new cologne brand Notewrks, Snif wanted a sub-brand site within its existing Shopify theme – that used completely different fonts, colors, and styles. The unconventional designs the Snif team presented were boldly distinct and dynamic – and would require innovative solution engineering from ehouse’s developers to pull off.
When Pointer Creative (now a part of ehouse) completed a full custom build of the Snif site four years ago, the team strategically created a system to turbocharge the Shopify theme and enable total content and design flexibility for future brand experimentation. The system includes a network of granular controls – from multiple fonts and colors to button styles and spacing – that can be applied throughout the site. Leveraging this system, ehouse also added new tools tailored for the Notewrks site, significantly reducing development time and stability risks. Unique development challenges included:
