
Nixon is a different kind of watch company that prioritizes bold ideas and supports creators, athletes, and causes that make a difference. While Nixon wanted to keep its custom Shopify theme, it needed greater backend flexibility to showcase visual storytelling through video and photography. The company engaged ehouse to build out their site refresh that makes content as customizable as Nixon’s watches.

Nixon’s custom Shopify site had grown increasingly complex over the years due to piecemeal updates. This limited how the company could showcase visual assets, merchandize products, and maximize the customer experience. Not ready for a full rebuild, Nixon sought a cost-effective solution to get maximum value out of its existing site.
Working collaboratively with the watch company to build on Nixon’s vision for a refresh while also recommending additional use cases and design enhancements to deliver new functionality within the existing theme.
Flexible content sections library: To give Nixon greater control over merchandising and storytelling, ehouse developed a suite of content sections using new, clean code that integrated with the existing theme. With these building blocks, Nixon can now customize and create pages, feature collections, and showcase high-quality photo and video assets and customer testimonials.
Redesigned PDP: ehouse brought Nixon’s designs for the product page (PDP) to life with visual merchandising, including a new product media gallery. The team also optimized the buy box to highlight customer reviews, free shipping, cross-sell and upsell recommendations, and custom engraving options to increase conversions.
Refactored custom engraving process: ehouse redesigned the interface and flow for custom watch engraving based on UX/UI design best practices. Customers can now add or remove engraving on the PDP as well as in the cart, making the process more intuitive and user-friendly.
On-site auction functionality: ehouse integrated the Auction Today app to power Nixon’s charity fundraising, showcasing limited-edition, celebrity collaborations, and other one-of-a-kind watches.
Nixon’s Shopify site was given a new lease on life through the strategic modernization of its existing theme, enabling Nixon to lean into rich visual merchandising, customization, and personalization for a more engaging customer experience.
