Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal data you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our services, our site, https://ehousestudio.com, and other sites we own and operate (together, “Services”). The practices described in this Privacy Policy do not cover our use of our business customer’s personal data, which are governed by our agreement with them.

What Types of Personal Data Do We Collect?

We may collect the following categories of personal data depending on how you interact with us as described below:

  • Account and Contact information including name, address, email, and phone number
  • Device information, online or unique identifiers and related information such as operating system information, device type and settings, and screen size
  • Internet and network activity, such as your browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, cookies and IP addresses, interactions with the Services or other usage data related to your use of any of our Services, 
  • Commercial information such as financial information, payment card numbers (processed and stored with our payment processor), Services purchased, returned or considered, or other purchasing or use histories or tendencies
  • General location information such as from IP addresses (e.g., country, state, city level)
  • Audio, visual and other sensory information such as audio and video recordings
  • Individual preferences and characteristics such as inferences related to shopping patterns and behaviors

How Do We Collect and Use Personal Data?

We collect personal data in a variety of ways, which may include: directly from you and your device; from advertising networks, internet service providers, data analytics providers, operating systems, social networks, data brokers and promotion vendors or sponsors; from online or on premise technologies and platforms; from government entities, law enforcement and regulators, and other external third-party sources. 

Information collected automatically: We may collect technical information when you use the Services. This may include information such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, the type of mobile device you use, your device operating system and browser type, unique identifiers, the address of referring sites, the path you take through the Services, and other information about your visit to our Services including through Cookies and Other Technologies as described below. The personal data we collect can depend on the individual settings of your device and your permissions. How Personal Data Is Used 

We use your personal data to provide you Services, to communicate with you, to personalize and improve our Services, to prevent or detect fraud and for advertising and analytics purposes. Some examples may include:

  • Providing Services and support: To provide and operate our Services, fulfill your order or requests, provide customer service, create and maintain your account, communicate with you, provide troubleshooting and technical support, debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality, process your payments through our payment processor, correct or supplement our records, and for similar service and support purposes. We also maintain records about your purchases.
  • Register for an account: When you sign up or login into your account, we collect certain personal data from you, such as your contact information as well as any personal data you post to your profile or account.
  • Communicate and interact with us: We collect and maintain a record of your contact details, communications and our responses. When you fill out a 'Contact Us' form, signup for our mailing lists, or otherwise request information from us, we collect and maintain records of your requests.
  • Analytics and improvement: To better understand how users’ access and use the Services and our other products and offerings, conduct auditing and monitoring of transactions and engagement, and for other research and analytical purposes, such as to evaluate and improve our Services and business operations, develop services and features, and for internal quality control and training purposes.
  • Marketing and advertising: For marketing and advertising purposes. For example, to send you information about our Services, such as offers, newsletters and other marketing content, including about third-party products and services we think may interest you. For example, if you register for or attend an event that we host or sponsor, we and other third parties may manage registration, attendance, connect event attendees, and contact attendees about relevant events and services. 
  • Participate in promotions: If you participate in a promotion, we and/or a co-sponsor will collect the personal data that you submit. We may offer promotions in connection with other entities, and, in some cases, promotions will be governed by different privacy notices. Some states require information of winners to be posted publicly.
  • Research and surveys: To administer surveys and questionnaires, such as for market research or customer satisfaction purposes.
  • Safety, quality and improvement: To undertake activities to verify or maintain quality or safety and improve, upgrade, or enhance the Services. 
  • Security and protection of rights: To protect us, you and others, the Services and our business operations; to help ensure security and integrity and prevent and detect fraud, unauthorized activities and access, and other misuse; to collect amounts owed; where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety or legal rights of any person or party, or violations of our terms, warranty or return policies or this Privacy Policy.
  • Legal proceedings and obligations: To comply with the law and our legal obligations and to handle legal processes and related to legal proceedings.
  • General business and operational support: To conduct business analysis, such as analytics, projections, or identifying areas for operational improvement and to consider and implement mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, bankruptcies, and other business transactions, and related to the administration of our general business, accounting, auditing, compliance, recordkeeping, and legal functions.
  • Other purposes: For other lawful purposes that you reasonably expect, are permitted under applicable law or that we may notify you of from time to time.

We may use deidentified or aggregated data, which does not identify you for any purpose as permitted by applicable law.

How Do We Share Your Personal Data?

We may share your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform services in connection with the operation of our business, such as cloud hosting or IT service providers.
  • Affiliates: We may transfer personal data to related companies, including subsidiaries, affiliates or parent companies.
  • Third Parties: We may work with other entities to promote our business. Please note that personal information collected during joint registrations or events may be collected under this Privacy Policy, the privacy policy of the other entity, and/or the privacy policy you see when you register. Links from our site to third party sites are also governed by the third parties’ privacy policies which we urge you to review.
  • Social Media, Analytics and Advertising Platforms: We and other third parties such as social media and advertising platforms, analytics and measurement providers and others serve, measure and analyze the use of our Services and advertisements to you or to third parties that the platform determines are similar to you and as described below.
  • Professional advisors. We may share personal information with professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
  • Authorities and others. We may share personal information with law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or as legally required for compliance and protection purposes.
  • Third Parties for Sale, Transfer or Reorganization of Business: We reserve the right to transfer your personal data in connection with the sale or transfer of all or a portion of the business or assets to an entity in the event of a corporate transaction.
  • Other: In addition to the foregoing circumstances, we may share your personal data when you authorize us to do so or when we provide notice.

Cookies and Other Technologies

Like many companies, we collect and store certain personal data automatically whenever you interact with our Services. For example, we may collect your IP address, browser and device information, including operating system, application software, and reference site domain name when you access or use the Services. We and third parties also use personal data to derive information regarding customer traffic patterns and usage and usage data. We may use this information in combination with other information we have about you, including personal data.

We and other third parties use cookies, which are small data files created by a web server and stored by your browser, and pixel tags, which are tiny graphic images, also known as web beacons, action tags, or transparent GIF files, to permit the Services to function properly. For example, they help us to identify account holders and to optimize the log-in, account management, email and shopping experience. Heat mapping/Session Recording: We may use heatmapping and session recording technology in order to better understand our users' needs and to optimize the Services and experience. Social Networks and Platforms: When you post digital content via social media interactions on third-party sites or platforms that data may be collected by us. Please be advised that user-generated content and other information you post or share with these platforms and networks, and any information gathered by the platforms and networks, will be governed by the privacy policy and terms of use of the applicable platform or network and not by this Privacy Policy. We may also collect personal data about you from social media platforms and networks if you post content publicly or to our social media account.

Your Personal Data Choices

There are several ways in which you can manage your personal data, interest based advertising and promotional communications from us.

Email Opt-out: You can click the "unsubscribe" link contained in promotional emails we send you or following the "unsubscribe" instructions in a notification or other message type. Even if you unsubscribe from our emails, you may continue to receive operational emails.

Account Changes: If you have an account, you may be able to change certain personal data by signing in to your account. You can also update your personal data by contacting us as described below.

Do Not Track.  Some internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit.  We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals.  

Decline to provide information.  We need to collect personal information to provide certain services.  If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to provide those services.

Business Customer Information

In the course of providing our Services including working with our business customers’ on their sites or digital properties (“Customer Websites”), we and our business customers will collect certain data from visitors or end users, including data that may constitute “personal information” or “personal data” under applicable laws and regulations (such data, “Collected Personal Data”). Our business customers may grant us access to use Collected Personal Data to provide our Services, including to assist our business customers in managing and optimizing their marketing and advertising practices and other services with respect to the Customer Websites.

We process Collected Personal Data at the direction of our business customers. Our business customers are responsible for ensuring that the collection, use and processing of Collected Personal Data complies with applicable laws and regulations (including with respect to cookies, pixels, web beacons, chat bots, APIs, SDKs, heat mapping and session replay technologies, and other tracking and marketing technologies).

Data retention

We retain Collected Personal Data in accordance with the terms of our business customer agreements and not this Privacy Policy.

Deidentification and aggregation

In addition to processing Collected Personal Data on behalf of our business customers, we may deidentify and/or aggregate such Collected Personal Data for the purpose of improving our products and services, providing insights, security and fraud prevention and for other lawful purposes that are governed by our agreement with our business customer.  

Privacy Rights

If a visitor or end user wants to exercise an applicable privacy right such as to access, correct, amend, limit processing or delete any Collected Personal Data), the visitor or end user must contact the specific business customer. Any requests submitted to us, will be directed to the applicable business customer.

Children and Minors

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors or children. Please contact us if there are any concerns.

Security

We use various security measures designed to protect personal data that we collect. However, we cannot guarantee that your personal data will be secure from disclosure or misuse, either by accident or by unauthorized access or use.

In order to help protect your personal data, you should use a different account username and password for each account and keep that information secure and not share them with others. If we request that you re-set your username and/or password, please do so promptly. We will never ask you to share your password. If you become aware of any loss, theft or unauthorized use of a username or password, please contact us.

Data Retention

We retain the personal data we collect as reasonably necessary for the purposes described herein or otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection. We retain personal data as necessary to comply with our operational, tax, accounting and recordkeeping obligation and to provide the Services as well as an additional period of time as necessary to protect, defend or establish our rights, defend against potential claims, and comply with our legal obligations. In some cases, we may deidentify or aggregate personal data and use it in compliance with applicable law. If you request that we delete your personal data, please note we may still retain your personal data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, regulatory requests, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. In some cases, we may post a notice of the revision on the Services and/or send an email or other communication notifying users of material changes.
