In conjunction with their sponsorship of the Dew Tour, Pantech wanted to find effective ways to align themselves with the Dew Tour brand and increase engagement and awareness among their target demographic. To help with this effort, we created responsive websites for the summer and winter season Pantech title sponsor events as well as the official Dew Tour Android mobile application that would provide event schedules, results, athlete bios, videos, and photos throughout the course of the tour.
Whether you were attending the event and standings, the app was created to be both a mobile guide to the Dew Tour and a social hub where fans could interact with each other and keep track of their favorite atheletes’ performances, along with many other cool features:
An intuitive experience
The app was designed to create an intuitive experience that would lead to ongoing engagement and interactions. Not only did it serve as the official Android app of the Dew Tour by providing a way for fans to stay connected with their favorite athletes and events, it also gave Pantech a chance to increase visibility through their sponsorship of the app. While we designed the look and feel of the application to match the style of the Dew Tour, we also included strategically placed content and ads throughout to make sure that Pantech benefited from the branding partnership.
App Returning Usage
User engagement was high with 97% of users returning to the app 2 or more times.
App User Rating
The app received positive reviews and garnered a 4.5 (out of 5) star average rating on the Android Market.
In order to promote on-going engagement and brand alignment, we worked with Pantech to develop a campaign strategy that would support the Dew Tour app. We created several microsites that served as landing pages for detail information on Pantech’s sponsorship of the Dew Tour and the Pantech Open.
In conjunction with Pantech’s Facebook page, we also organized several product giveaways and a sweepstakes for a flyaway trip to the summer finals in Las Vegas. Pantech's Facebook page was used alongside the microsite and app to provide fans with regular tour updates, photos and commentary on the Dew Tour. By encouraging users to check back on a regular basis for contest announcements and tour updates, we helped increase engagement and interaction throughout the tour.
Increased Page Views
Our campaign work contributed to increase in site page views by 60%.
Pantech saw over 100% increase in people clicking on the "Purchase Now" for devices.
Our engagement strategy drove a 50% increase locating a Pantech dealer using the in app store locator.
Pantech Pocket Commercial
In addition to creating the Dew Tour app and landing pages, we also worked with Pantech to create a commercial to run during the Dew Tour television coverage. With a nation-wide television audience for the Winter and Summer Dew Tours, the video we produced was another way to reach Pantech's broader audience who had not yet used the app or visited the landing pages.
Our combined work contributed to:
