Any organization that dishes out as much love as Charleston Elves deserve a whole lot of loving back. Now that Aaron had laid the tracks for the Santa Express it was time to apply the brand to the UI work that had been done. It was time to say goodbye to the cartoon elves of yesteryear and highlight the families in need of style.

The Charleston Elves have a uniquely compelling story and mission, and it’s that story that resonates with people and moves them to want to help. When we began the information architecture, we identified a number of ways in which we could both improve the effectiveness of the site and better communicate the financial burdens of treating children with cancer, and how that burden affects a family’s ability to celebrate the holidays.

When Chris brought the Charleston Elves project to us we were all very excited. We saw the potential of how we could help the organization digitally as well as updating their look and feel. The first step for us was to take a crack at redesigning the logo.

The {e} house family is growing! Last month we welcomed two new additions to the team, Ryan Shrum and Austin Dandridge.  Both of them bring strong backgrounds and fresh perspectives, and their enthusiasm for great work and design is already being felt throughout the office.  Here’s a little bit about the “new guys.”
