You:
- Can write flawless, cross-browser/platform javascript using nothing but your brain, a text-editor, and at least a couple fingers.
- Understand that jQuery !== javascript.
- Know the difference between developing native mobile apps and using jQuery Mobile and have built at least one native app for iOS or Android.
- Know that I’m not referencing Ghostbusters when talking about XUL.
- Have the PHP/MySQL chops to be able to code CMS extensions from scratch. Experience doing so for ExpressionEngine is a huge, huge, huge plus.
- Understand what I mean when using all the cool, hip acronyms the kids are using these days like AJAX, XML, JSON, DOM, OOP, MVC, SOAP, & REST.
- Don’t get the shakes and pee down your leg when working in Terminal and can setup, maintain, and administer a LAMP server.
- Have rock-solid HTML/CSS skills to translate complicated design mockups to standards-based, accessible code to W3C and Section 508 specifications.
- Can speak intelligibly to clients and can prove your ability to write coherent documentation.
- Take great pride in your work possess impeccable attention to detail.
- Admit you don’t know everything but are willing to correct that flaw.
